New Ultrasound Equipment
See Improvided Images of Your Baby in the Earliest Stages of Life...
Sutter North Medical Foundation has recently added two new ultrasound systems, which among other things, allows mothers to see improved images of their baby. The image advancements provide improved image quality and increased diagnostic information for ultrasound exams—like those received by expecting mothers. The ACUSON Sequoia ultrasound system coupled with a new 20-inch color television equipped with DVD and VCR enhances the patient experience with diagnostic images as well as provides physicians with better information. The new diagnostic enhancements enable many new patient benefits:
While viewing improved images of the baby at the earliest stages of life, obstetric patients can record ultrasound images during their pregnancy. Obstetric patients can also view the scanning of the fetus as well as keep a recording of part of the exam.
Since the system includes DVD and VCR, patients are encouraged to bring their favorite music, DVD, or videotape to listen or watch during exams.
Providers (physicians) can view diagnostic scans of their patients on a computer as opposed to a print out which enhances their ability to make diagnosis.
“We are pleased to offer services that not only improve patient care, but also enhance their experience while receiving that care. Particularly, to be able to add to the parents’ experience of viewing their baby, for quite possibly the first time, is an incredible service to provide,” said James E. Conforti, Chief Executive Officer for Sutter North Medical Foundation.
