Crusty, Itchy, Red Eyes?

Sutter North Medical Foundation’s Clinical Trails Department is now accepting participants for a bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye) research study. Pranav Amin, M.D., ophthalmologist at Sutter North Medical Foundation, is the chief investigator to the study.
Participants must meet specific qualifications to be admitted, including being at least one year of age, have been waking up with crusty and sticky eyes, and have had symptoms for less than three days. In addition, patients will not qualify if they have used antibiotics in the last three days, used any anti-inflammatory eye drops in the last two days or used any eye drops within two hours prior to their visit.
The clinical trial allows Dr. Amin to provide treatment and study related eye exams to those with bacterial conjunctivitis symptoms, free of cost.
