New viewing monitors allow radiologists to review four images simultaneously. The Data Ray Precision 3 monitors, used exclusively by Sutter North, allow radiologists to view current and past images of the same area of the body, to compare studies for any significant changes. Additionally, the monitor’s high resolution (picture quality), is very sensitive to detecting any abnormalities such as an unknown mass.
“What this means for patients is the radiologist can efficiently and more effectively review any changes or abnormalities in the body. Past and present studies are presented and compared side-by-side,” said Cecilia Garcia, M.D., Radiologist for Sutter North Medical Foundation.
