The Business and Community Healthcare Partnership (BCHP) is pleased to announce applications are available for the organization’s mini-grants. Each year BCHP’s membership selects community organizations with a healthcare mission to receive funding raised by BCHP. The application process is designed to be simple, yet still provide the BCHP membership with the information needed to select the recipients of their limited funds. Interested organizations who would like to be considered for funding must complete the application and return it no later October 3.
The mission of BCHP is to provide education and support for the future of healthcare in the Yuba-Sutter area. The executive committee’s focus is to raise awareness and have a positive effect on the following five issues: Domestic Violence, Teenage Pregnancy, Substance Abuse, Accessible Health and Welfare of Children and Health and Welfare of the Elderly. Funds are raised through charitable gifts and membership dues. All funds collected are redistributed to the community through grants to organizations in our community who are making a difference.
The two-stage selection process begins with a sub-committee prioritization of requests based upon the executive committee’s focus. Applicants will then be asked to prepare a 2 to 3 minute presentation for the entire BCHP membership. Presentations will be given during the November meeting at 12 noon at the Bonanza Convention Center in Yuba City.
BCHP is sponsored by Sutter North Medical Foundation. Sutter North Medical Foundation is committed to improving access to quality healthcare in our community. The members of BCHP have awarded more than $149,000 in grants to organizations within the Yuba-Sutter area that benefit the overall health of the community. The mission of the Partnership is to work together to provide educational and support for the future of health care in the Yuba-Sutter area. The meeting is open to the public.
