CLINICAL TRIALS

Sutter North Medical Foundation has implemented a Clinical Research Trial Program which makes it possible for Sutter North's physicians to work with pharmaceutical companies on some clinical trials in the Yuba-Sutter communities.
Patients receive any study related doctor, lab and x-ray visits FREE OF CHARGE. Sutter North has completed more than 30 studies and are currently participating in the largest clinical trial ever undertaken (the Rotavirus study). The benefits of state-of-the-art imagining, as well as our comprehensive lab provides a variety of services required for specific studies.

To be selected to participate in a clinical trials program, a physician (or facility) must meet stringent guidelines. Pharmaceutical sponsors look at the following criteria before selecting a physician to be a primary investigator for a study:
-Past experience with clinical trial programs
-Quality of personnel, including training, licensing, etc.
-Condition of medical facilities
-Must employ stringent rules of operation
-Must follow good clinical practices
-Must leave a detailed paper trail
